With this NDI I/F Unit attached, the Live Switcher AV-UHS500 supports input and output via the high quality, low latency video transmission of NDI® and the stable, low bit rate transmission of NDI®|HX. This enables the development of IP streaming systems covering operations from video transmission to camera control using a single LAN cable and supports remote live video production at sports and other event venues.
High-Quality Remote Live Video Production through NDI® & NDI®|HX
With this NDI I/F Unit attached, the AV-UHS500 live switcher supports input and output via NDI®* and the stable, low bit rate transmission of NDI®|HX*. This enables the construction of IP streaming systems covering operations from video transmission to camera control using a single LAN cable and supports remote live video production at sports and other event venues.
NDI® and NDI®|HX signals can be input directly from cameras to the AV-UHS500 with a single LAN cable. With NDI®, the AV-UHS500 can be connected to a streaming PC with a single LAN cable. Up to two units can be fitted to a single AV-UHS500.
Two LAN terminals (1 Gb each) secure a maximum bandwidth of 2 GB.
All input channels feature a built-in frame synchronizer. The Genlock function also supports synchronizing systems based on external sync signals (Black burst or Tri-level).
When used in combination with Panasonic cameras*1 that support NDI®*2 or NDI®|HX*2, operations from video transmission to camera control and tally output can be performed using a single LAN cable. By supporting camera operation in addition to video transmission, this unit enables remote live video production.
