The recent Las Vegas residency Love & Laughter, featuring R&B singer Toni Braxton and comedian Cedric the Entertainer, marked the American concert debut of GLP’s versatile JDC2 IP hybrid strobe. Lighting designer Ryan Healey, renowned for his work in esports and TV events, selected 12 JDC2 IP fixtures for the show, along with 12 GLP impression X5 and X4 fixtures.
Healey praised the JDC2 IP for its dynamic DigiFX, high brightness, and large plates, making it perfect for visual impact from any spot in the theatre. He described the JDC2 IP as the "cooler, older brother" of the JDC1, with a unique ability to blend seamlessly into existing rigs while bringing added versatility and control.
The show’s success is a testament to GLP’s innovation and continued influence in the professional lighting industry, helping elevate live performances to unforgettable visual experiences. The residency’s popularity has led to a repeat season, proving that the stunning lighting design played a key role in captivating audiences and enhancing the overall experience at the Cosmopolitan Hotel’s Chelsea Theatre.
